Terms of Service

Last updated: June 16, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Onward, operated by The Harold Advisory Ltd. ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Onward.

1. Who can use Onward

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. By using Onward you confirm you meet these requirements.

2. What Onward is

Onward is a subscription product offering guided coaching sessions, AI-assisted tools, and content to help you work toward starting a business after a job loss. It is an educational tool, not professional advice — see our Disclaimer.

3. Your account

You're responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login secure. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Free trial, subscription & billing

Onward may offer a free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins automatically and your payment method is charged the then-current price ($29/month or $199/year). Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable notice, applying to future billing periods. Payments are handled by our processor (Stripe); we don't store full card details.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Onward for anything unlawful, don't attempt to break or abuse the service, don't resell or scrape it, and don't upload content that infringes others' rights. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. Your content and ours

You own what you write and the assets you create with Onward, such as your idea brief. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content so we can provide the service. We own Onward itself — the platform, design, and content we provide — and you may not copy or reuse it beyond your personal use of the service.

7. AI-generated content

Some responses and documents are generated using AI and are provided "as is." They may be inaccurate; verify important information independently.

8. No warranties; limitation of liability

Onward is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, income, or opportunities arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You can stop using Onward and cancel anytime. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we discontinue the service.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms or the service. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use Onward after changes means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in British Columbia, Canada will have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your own country or region.
